Privacy Notice

Last updated: 6 November 2026

S2 Emporium ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This notice explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, and what your rights are under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address, phone / WhatsApp number, optional company name, and a password (stored only in scrambled, one-way form).
  • Quote requests: the products, quantities and notes you send us, with the date and our reply status.
  • Technical data: a small cookie that keeps you logged in, and your IP address, which we use briefly to limit repeated log-in or sign-up attempts.

Why we use it

We use your information only to create and secure your account, to prepare and send you the quotes you ask for, to contact you about those quotes, and to keep the website safe. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for marketing unless you agree to that separately.

Who sees it

Our staff who handle quotes can see your account details and requests. We use these service providers to run the site: our web host (which stores the database and sends our emails), Google (the Google Fonts and Google reviews features, and Google Maps Platform to show our rating), and Cloudflare's cdnjs (icon fonts). WhatsApp links open WhatsApp when you click them.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and quote history until you delete your account. You can delete it yourself at any time under My account, which removes your details, cart and quote history from our system.

Your rights

You may ask to see the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. You can update your details yourself in your account, or contact us at sales@s2emporium.co.za. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information you may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.

Cookies

We use one essential cookie to keep you logged in and to protect forms. It is deleted when you close your browser. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
